POKER FACE has gained national exposure by staying true to their pro-Constitutional ideals. With support from organizations such as the Free Republic, they have taken an active part in several grass roots demonstrations in Washington, DC. From this, music from their second release was incorporated into several radio talk shows around the country. Likewise, they have also received rave reviews from various freedom oriented magazines, including The Spotlight and The Idaho Observer.
A lot of ground was covered with their previous disc, NEXT. From international radio play, to being nominated band of the month on several websites, the response to this band has been quite overwhelming. The video for Father has, to date, received 5 awards including second place at the Philadelphia International Film Festival in the music video category. Additionally, NEXT was one of a select few to be included in the initial rollout of the Sony Interplay Station. The Interplay Station was developed for Sam Goody/Musicland stores as an interactive listening center where people can walk up, listen to, and ideally BUY music right from the station.
In a way, Poker Face could be considered the most alternative band on the scene. Not only are their political beliefs far from what is portrayed by the extreme liberal media, but, this rocking foursome delves into various alternatives within the areas of nutrition, health, and spirituality. Unfortunately, the mainstream has virtually brainwashed the masses into accepting that there is only one way to do things. We have become a society fed on fast food, corporate health care, and spiritual leaders who preach anything but the word of God. Poker Face would love nothing more than to open a few eyes and touch a few hearts. We all have the ability to ensure our own happiness and well being. It just takes a matter of separating the truth from lies.
We hope you enjoy the music. We also ask that you view the contents of this disc with an open mind. Alot of what you will find in here is very controversial. There are many who will be quick to criticize and dismiss this information, however, it will be the wise who will consider all the possibilities before reaching a concrete opinion.
